Agostino Pavia & Figli – Moliss – Barbera d’Asti Superiore – Red

A Barbera d'Asti Superiore with aromas of fruit, vanilla, tar and spices. The palate is dry and mineral.

Agostino Pavia & Figli – Moliss – Barbera d’Asti Superiore – Red wine is made from 100% Barbera-grapes. The harvest is done manually at the end of September. The grapes are macerated for 13-15 days at 28-30° C with frequent pumping into new vats. This is followed by malolactic fermentation. The wine is stored for 11 months from January after the harvest, partly in 30 hectoliter barrels of Austrian oak, partly in 500 liter French Allier oak barrels. The wine is then put together in stainless steel vats and bottled in May of the following year. Then further storage in bottle for about 5-6 months.
