“Vecio Belo” from Azienda Agricola Manara is a Valpolicella Classico Superiore made from 70% Corvina, 20% Rondinella and 10% Dindarella as well as other varietals. The wine takes its name from the founder of the winery named Angelo Manara – “Vecio Belo” was his nickname (“old hottie”). The grapes are picked late, by hand the first week of November. The grapes are then lightly crushed and allowed to ferment in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged for 18 months in steel tanks. The finished wine is bottled and stored another 6 months before being commercialized.
