Presentation vineyard

The Saracco family has grown and produced Moscato wines in Castiglione Tinella since the early 20th century. During the 1st part of the 20th century, the Moscato wine was produced mainly for sale to other companies that produced Vermouth. Under the leadership of Giovanni Saracco, the company growed and acquired new vineyards. The wine was sold to producers of Asti Spumante. In the late 80s, Giovanni's son Paolo took over and decided to start bottling Moscato after studying oenology. Thus the Paolo Saracco brand was born. Today, Moscato Saracco has become a point of reference in the wine industry, even with the production of wines other than Moscato d'Asti.

Sommelier's advice

A deep red color with purple hues. The nose is typical of Pinor noir with hints of wild forest berries (blueberries, blackberries and raspberries) with slightly vanilla aromas. The plalate is complex and also has the element of wild berries - full and velvety. To serve with red meat and meat stews and with medium-done cheeses.

Azienda Agricola Paolo Saracco – Pinot nero – Red is produced from 100% Pinot noir grapes grown in the municipality of Castiglione Tinella and Castagnole delle Lanze. The grapes are harvested and fermented in stainless steel vats. The wine is then stored in oak barrels, partly in small French oak barrels and partly in large barrels. The storage lasts 12-14 months and then the wine is bottled.
