Dom Pérignon is a vintage champagne and is made from Chardonnay and Pinot noir wines from only one vintage. Only the best grapes are used. Each vintage is unique and reflects the unique character of the seasons for one and the same year. Dom Pérignon does not launch champagne if the vintage is not exceptional. The wine making lasts for more than 8 years before the wine is launched. The wine is always made from 7 Grands Crus and a Premier Cru, namely Hautvillers. The first vintage was created in 1921 and a total of 47 vintages have been released since 1921.
