Champagne Henriot – “Brut Rosé” is made from Pinot noir from Montagne de Reims and Chardonnay grapes from Côtes des blancs as well as a small portion of Pinot Meunier for its fruity character. The pink color is obtained by adding Pinot noir red wine. 15 different “cuvées” are used from e.g. Avize, Chouilly, Mareuil sur Aÿ, Verzy, Verzenay, Avenay, Vertus, Trépail and Epernay for this cuvée. The wine is produced with 25% of “vin de réserve” and the finalized wine is stored for 2-3 years in the wine cellars in Reims before being commercialized.
