Presentation vineyard

Château Dalmeran is part of the small South French appellation called les Baux-de-Provence. The castle building is located just north of the Baux-de-Provence village, in the northern part of les Alpilles and dates back to the 16th century. The property dominates the Provencal nature which consists of a mix of forest, vineyards and olive plantations. 10 hectares of wine is grown according to rules for organic farming and only 35 hl of wine is extracted per hectare of land. The harvest is done by hand with manual thinning.

Sommelier's advice

A pomegranate intense color. The scent attack contains reminds of spices and roasted tones which then pass into a mixture of rosemary, pistachio and juniper berries reminding of Provencal bushweed (Garrigue). The palate is full and round. Black berries, licorice and balsamic notes of incense. To pair with Mediterranean dishes, preferably a grilled lamb with herbs.

Château Dalmeran MMXVI is produced from organically grown Syrah, Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon. The fermentation takes place separately, each grape variety apart. The wine is then stored for 2 years on oak barrels before being bottled and stored for another 4 years before it is put up for sale.
