Presentation vineyard

The Château de Bellet is located at the top of the small Bellet appellation and is oriented in a westerly, south-westerly direction. The property represents 13 hectares of land and the agriculture is organic. Natural grass grows in the vineyard and is treated with regular agriculture. The vineyard has adopted the motto & quot; res non verba & quot; - action speaks more than words in tribute to the barons of Bellet who gave the name of the vineyard and to the appellation and who, for more than 400 years cultivated the land and created what the Château de Bellet is today.

Sommelier's advice

A brilliant ruby red color. The nose first expresses aromas of wild cherries. The aeration then creates a more floral scent from the Braquet grape, together with aromas of red berries. The palate has elements of garrigue and cranberries that create freshness and balance and also extend, with elegance and character, the structure of this wine. Serve lightly chilled with grilled lamb with thyme or with a red fruit panna cotta.

Château de Bellet is made from 61% Folle Noire, 22% Braquet and 17% Grenache Noir. The harvest is done manually with an average yield of only 25 hl / ha. The grapes are cool macerated to extract aromas and the fermentation is then done in steel tanks without added yeast. The finalized wine is then stored for 12 months in 500L oak barrels.
