Les fiefs de Lagrange is made from vines that are on average 30 years old and planted in fine gravely soil for Cabernet Sauvignon and clay soil for the Merlot grapes. The wine is produced like “Le Grand Vin”, which means perfect maturity and concentration in the grapes, a vinification made by arable land and a storage that depends on the structure of the tannins. The grapes are harvested by hand and sorted. The fermentation takes 15-20 days and the wine is then stored for 1 year on oak barrels, of which 25% on new barrels. The objective is to make a full-bodied wine with soft tannins. Aromas of red and black berries when it is young and with good storage potential.
