Château Le Sartre is made from 60-65% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35-40% Merlot. The grapes are harvested manually, which enables a first sorting out in the vineyard. The production is made in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks and the wine is then stored on oak barrels (30% new) for 12 months. The wine is produced according to the same method as the Château Carbonnieux. Each year, about 60,000 bottles are produced.
