Château Taillefer – Pomerol is made from 88% Merlot and 12% Cabernet franc. The harvest took place from 20 to 29 September 2019. The wine is grown over 12 hectares on the Pomerol plateau, 25 m above sea level in a terroir of silica and gravel on clay base, rich in iron deposits. The wine is produced according to the traditional method with a gentle fermentation at controlled temperature in thermoregulated concrete vessels. The wine is aged for 12 months with 40% new barrels of French oak.
