“Les Abeillons” is produced from Grenache-, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah grapes. The harvest is done manually and the vinification is carried out according to the traditional method. The grapes are heat macerated after the fermentation in order to extract the maximum amount of tannins and to provide structure. The Syrah and the Grenache are mixed together immediately after the harvest, while the Cabernet is handled separately. Approximately one third is stored in oak barrels, mostly the Cabernet Sauvignon before putting together the final composition of the wine.

“Les Abeillons” from Chateau Thuerry is a typical red Provence wine, partially aged in oak barrels. With hints of black currant, cherry and blackberry with light notes of vanilla it’s a wine which goes perfectly well with a Daube Proveçal !
