Presentation vineyard

The Deutz winery was created in Aÿ back in 1838 by two wine merchants named William Deutz and Pierre-Hubert Geldermann, both originating from Aachen in Germany. Together they bought land in Champagne and became vintners. Mixing technical knowledge, focus on export and a lot of ambition, they managed to create a quality reputation abroad long before the beginning of the 1900s. The Deutz vineyards are situated in Aÿ and to some extent also in the notorious "Côte des Blancs".

Sommelier's advice

A golden yellow clear color with silvery hues. The bubbles are small with good liveliness. The nose is fresh with notes of apple, acacia flowers, almond pulp with a fruity viny basic structure. The palate is a harmonious blend between the Chardonnay's freshness, the fruit of the Pinot noir and the little more viny structure of the Pinot Meunier.

Brut Vintage 2016 from Deutz is an elegant Vintage Champagne made from 70% Pinot Noir from Bouzy, Ambonnay, Verzenay, Aÿ, 27% Chardonnay from Mesnil-sur-Oger, Avize and Villers-Marmery and 3% Pinot Meunier from Pierry, Moussy and Montigny-sous-Châttillon. The wine is dosed to 10g sugar / liter.
