Presentation vineyard

The history of Domaine Boudau began in the 1920s. The entire wine production went at that time to the production of the, for the region, so typical and sweet Rivesaltes and Muscat de Rivesaltes wines. The production of dry wines started in the 1940s. At that time, grenachevines from the well reputated Chateauneuf-du-Pape was brought to the property. This was the start of the production of Côtes-du-Rhône-inspired wines, but including the typical characteristic elements given by the Roussillon soil. Today it's Veronique and Pierre Boudau who run the family business and with great efforts in both quality improvement and in the cultivation of new varieties, the winery can now offer very competitive and high-quality wines. No control agents are used and the vineyard regularly receive awards for their wines.

A beautiful ruby red color with purple hues. An intense fruity nose of red berries. The palate is well-balanced, "meaty" and spicy. Good concentration and velvety texture thanks to the satin-smooth tannins. An aromatic wine to serve to an entrecôte with potato gratin.

The grapes are harvested by hand and fermented – the Syrah 19 days and the Grenache for 15 days with regular agitation (pigeage). The finalized wine is aged for one year in French oak barrels.
