A Fleurie with a nose of peony and blueberry. The palate is fresh and fruity with spicy hints of pepper.

Domaine des Marrans – Fleurie – Red wine is grown over 4 ha of land with vines aged 45 years. Moderate volumes of 30 hl/ha are extracted. The vineyard is exposed to the south at a height of 300 meters above sea level. The harvest is done manually and the grapes are thinned directly at harvest and then further in the cellar on a vibrating table. The must is easily cleared (removal of solid vegetable substances – “débourbage”). Fermentation is carried out for 11-13 days with whole bunches, natural yeast and “semi-carbonated technology” (macération semi-carbonique). The temperature is regulated to be kept below 28 °C. One stirring (remontage) per day. The malolactic fermentation is then carried out. The wine is aged for 12 months in large oak barrels (foudre de chêne).
