"Pfoeller" has been named after a piece of land (terroir) in Katzenthal with a particular calcareous soil called "Munschelkalk". The Riesling grapes are picked by hand and the vinification is done by classical method. The finished wine is then matured on its lees before being bottled. A wine created for being stored a long time.
