Presentation vineyard

Domaine Romanee-Conti in Burgundy is among wine enthusiasts known to be by far the most prestigious vineyards in the world. However, that one of the owners of Romanée-Conti, Aubert de Villaine, together with Jacques Seysse from Domaine Dujac in Morey-Saint-Denis, also has a vineyard in Provence is perhaps less well known. "Domaine Triennes" is located in Nans-les-Pins, some 30 kilometers to the north from the very well-known Bandoldistrict. The name "Triennes" comes from the Romans' "Trienna" which was a feast, at the time held every third year in honor of the wine god Bacchus. The winery at Domaine Triennes is since 3 years back in transition to be classified as organic wine and half of winemaking is already classified as being organic.

Sommelier's advice

Dark red color with ruby red tints. Aromas of red fruit with hints of Provençal herbs and spices. A compact and powerful flavor attack that turns into an aromatic richness. Present tannins which are softened in the final. A good red wine that suits most meats - beef, pork or poultry.

Domaine Triennes – Les Auréliens is made from Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah grapes. After the fermentation, the wine is placed in oak barrels for 1 year prior to the bottling without filtration.
