Antìlia is the first wine Donnafugata started to produce and it’s also the name the Romans gave the Elim city of Entella, originating from 400-200 BC, located in the inner western part of Sicily. Anthìlia from Donnafugata is produced mainly from the local Catarratto grape, but also from various other white grape varieties. The grapes grow in the southern part of Sicily, 200-600 meters above sea level in calcareous clay soil and are harvested in late September. The grapes are then pressed and let to ferment at 14-16 °C. The finalized wine is stored in steel tanks before being bottled and may be stored for another 2 months.

Anthìlia from Donnafugata is a Sicilian white wine, mainly produced from the local Catarratto grape. A soft, well-balanced white wine with aromatic hints of apple and peach. A universal white wine which goes well with almost everything !
