Presentation vineyard

Château d'Estoublon is located in Fontvieille, in the middle of the Baux-de-Provence valley, between Arles and Aix-en-Provence in southeastern France. The property's castle complex, represents one of the region's most impressive buildings and it has recently been completely renovated. In 1999 the Schneider family bought the domaine d'Estoublon with its no less than 200 hectares of land. The Schneider family is also the owner of the Breitling Swiss watch brand and the same sense of fine technique, product excellence and precision is given to the wine production. 105 hectares are used for olive cultivation and only 19 hectares are actually used for the vineyard. Today, new vines have been planted which don't always correspond to those used in the appellation of Baux-de-Provence. Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah, Cabernet-Sauvignon for the red and Marsanne, Roussanne and Grenach Blanc for the whites. Wine growing is organic.

Sommelier's advice

A brilliant purple color. The nose has hints of black berries, mainly full-bodied dark fruits such as plums and of strawberry compote. Also spicy hints of pepper. The palate is soft with round tannins, some tones of undergrowth are evident. Pair with grilled duck breast or a puttanesca pasta.

Estoublon – La Réserve – Red from Château d’Estoublon is an organic red wine made from Syrah grapes according to the traditional method. Storage in steel tank before bottling. A light but fruity style with freshness is typical for the La Réserve segment. A generous and well-made wine, perfect for aperitifs and for dinners with friends.
