Bagadìu from Fradiles means Bachelor in Sardinian and is an intriguing red wine made from 100% Muristello grapes. Muristello, also called Bovalo sardo, is a typical varietal from Sardinia cultivated in the central-Sardinian DOC Mandrolisai appellation. The berries are small, and the skin is relatively thick. The wine is grown on the hills around Atzara, 550 meters above sea level. The grapes are harvested by hand in October and let to ferment at controlled temperature for 15 days. The wine is produced in steel tanks, is then bottled and stored for 8 months.
