Grandes serres – Gigondas – La Combe des Marchands – red wine is a Gigondas produced from Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Cinsault. “Combe” means crossroads on Occitan and refers to the merchants who met in the past in Gigondas at the foot of Dentelles de Monmirail. The grapes are removed from their bunches after harvest and are fermented in temperature controlled concrete tanks with natural yeast. Long maceration with daily stirring (remontage). The finished wine is stored for 18 months, of which 20% on oak barrels.
