“Hell” is the name of this Cuvée, given the warmth of the terroir where the grapes are grown. The rocks that protrude from the ground raise the temperature by reflecting the sun’s rays during the day and emit heat during the night. The steep slope allows the sun’s rays to hit the ground perpendicularly, thereby increasing solar radiation. Excellent conditions for the Nebbiolo to ripen! The wine is made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes (Chiavennasca) grown at 350-550 meters above sea level. The grapes are harvested by hand in October. They are vinified with their skins at temperatures close to 30 degrees, which increases the extraction of tannins and elements of ripe fruit. The wine is stored for 2 years, of which at least 1 year in wood. The use of younger oak barrels highlights aromas and tannins.
