Faro from Palari is a typical, almost hand-made red wine made from the local grape varieties Nerello mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio and some Nocera, Cappuccio Tignolino, Acitana, Galatena and Calabrese. An exclusive aromatic red wine to serve with a Boeuf Bourgignon or other assorted meat dishes.

Faro, which is the name of the micro-appellation around Messina in northwestern Sicily, is made from local grape varieties in an authentic blend of Nerello mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio and some Nocera, Cappuccio Tignolino, Acitana, Galatena and Calabrese. The vineyards are Albarello-trimmed and planted on steep slopes (average 78 ° inclination) oriented in a south-easterly direction. The grapes are harvested by hand and only 1 kg of grapes is extracted per Albarello-tree. The wine is traditionally produced according to ancient tradition at controlled temperature in steel tanks. The wine is then stored in oak barrels before it is bottled and stored for another 18 months.
