Maroccoli Syrah from Planeta is a red wine made from 100% Syrah grapes, grown in Sambuca, on the southwest part of Sicily. The grapes are harvested in early September and picked from their bunches. The fermentation takes place during 12 days time at 25 ° C. The wine is then sucked out and separated from the hard lees (svinatura) and put in oak barrels from Allier in France (of which 1/3rd are new) and is then stored for 12 months.
