Wine tasting in the Ivinio’s shop
These are the bottles we tasted :
A Picpoul de Pinet, a dry white wine that comes from the area of Etang de Thau. The wine was served well chilled together with "Bouzigues" oysters (from Etang de Thau as well), with bread and butter. The 2nd wine was a rosé "Le Chateau" from Chateau Thuerry. The rosé was from 2012, and the fruit of the young rosé had become "rounded" and created a soft gastronomic flavor with hints of toffee. We made a small detour to Italy to discover the "Primitivo" from Vinosia. A fruity red wine from Puglia in southern Italy. Finally, we tasted a second red wine from Terrasses du Larzac, Domaine de Crès Ricard. Terrasses du Larzac is located on the foothills of the Larzac in the Languedoc winedistrict and has recently, thanks to its outstanding quality wines, been recognized as an entire appellation of its own.
