Essentielle is an exclusive white wine from Domaine des Masques. Only 16 of the vineyard’s 145 hectares are used for vine growing. Quality is more important than volume at this winery. A dry but very aromatic white wine to drink with fish and shellfish.

“Essentielle” is a dry but aromatic white wine made from 70% Chardonnay grapes and 30 % Grenache Blanc. Elegant and with great finesse, it’s an excellent alternative to finer wines from Burgundy.

The grapes are harvested at night or early morning. Generalized stalking and easy crushing of the grapes depending on the grape variety and vintage. The must is protected with carbon dioxide from the press and is maintained throughout the process. This means that no addition of sulphites is made until the end of the fermentation. Cooling maceration at almost 0 ° C. The must is then dropped off and the temperature is adjusted to 15-17 ° C for the fermentation. The wine is put together and filtered in December, for bottling from January to June.
